My name is Nicole, I am 21 years old, and I am originally from the Bronx, New York. I am currently in Kentucky, studying at Centre College in the Behavior and Neuroscience program.
This is the third time Mérida has welcomed me to continue my professional development. Since my arrival, I have been convinced that this city is perfect for me. The people are friendly and warm, the environment is peaceful, and my Host Mom is the best.
During my internship, my day starts very early and extends until noon, attending to patients in the emergency and monitoring areas of the Clínica de Mérida. This experience has taught me a great deal about the value of friendship and has allowed me to meet wonderful people in unexpected places, learning something valuable from each of them. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
I highly recommend this experience to new students. There is so much to learn and much to teach as well. I believe everyone deserves to take advantage of this opportunity, not only to prepare professionally but also to gain valuable personal insights along the way.
