During the month of December, we traveled with a group of faculty and scholars to the beautiful Cuba. Our focus was intercultural communication, and so we organized everything having that in mind. We stayed at Casas Particulares with local families that made the experience enriching and valuable. We were able to visit Havana and Cienfuegos and enjoy the beautiful architecture and culture of both places. We had the opportunity to hear from a specialist in the University of Havana about US-Cuba relations, visited a local school and clinic and had great encounters with different artists, both in Havana and Cienfuegos that made our program even more interesting.
