Doña Pilar resides in the city of Mérida, Yucatán. She has one daughter and three granddaughters with whom she enjoys sharing her time and activities.
She is a very charismatic and talkative person and has been dedicated for many years to volunteering at a children's dining hall and also serving as a host mother. She really loves Yucatecan cuisine, as it is her favorite, and she enjoys sharing her recipes with the students she hosts.
She is passionate about spending time with her friends, students, family, and also traveling. She always mentions that: it doesn't matter where her students come from or what language they speak, as they can always understand each other and learn from one another.
