Doña Dedé is an exceptional baker and loves to cook, some of her delicious desserts include the famous 'Torta de Cielo', brownies, 'mazapanes' and her specialty 'atropellados' which are pastries with coconut and sweet potato, absolutely incredible!
She has eighteen years of experience hosting international students. She is a happy and extrovert person and loves to spend time with others and chat about experiences. She enjoys talking to students about Mérida, its stories and legends, sometimes she even teaches students a few words in Maya language.
If you like cooking she would surely invite you to participate and prepare something. Doña Dedé has two daughters: Andrea and Georgina and they all live together in the same house.
You will definitely leave Merida with a few extra pounds!
